In other news- our kitchen didn't flood, but Jennifer started her day like this! We are so thankful to have Jennifer Grisham as our Catholic school cafeteria manager! She cooks great tasting food and serves it with a smile.

Today is Career- Vocations Day! Many of the students dressed as their future careers! We had farmers, stay-at- home moms, businessmen, teachers, emergency workers, coaches, and healthcare providers. Due to the flood of Jan. 2025, it looks like we may be rescheduling our tours of county and city government.

Student Council is collecting hygiene supplies for Annie's! This campaign is our Catholic Schools Week community service project and runs through Valentines Day! Let's show them some love!

Student Council returns from a visit to The Call, a local non-profit that works with foster children. They are learning about how The Call/ Annie's House of Hope supports this community and what we can do to help them with their mission.

We've had a great start to Catholic Schools Week! Thanks to Mayor Rogers for his proclamation of the celebration and to the Kinders who are so much fun to sing and dance with!

The Paris Rotary Club stopped by today to give third graders a dictionary! President Jeff O'Neal of Siebenmorgan and Associates and member Tom Spivey presented each student a dictionary with their name in it and encouraged them to look up any word they don't know or know how to pronounce. Thank you Paris Rotary Club for doing this every year for our students!

Families,
Due to our need for 2 snow days in January please see below our updated calendar. We will now attend school on both Easter Monday and the Friday before Spring Break. These days off were built into our calendar to be used as snow days. Hopefully we will be free of snow for the rest of winter.
In Christ,

Mrs. Snyder gifted her homeroom class with handmade prayer jars. What a thoughtful gift!

Christmas is extra in Mrs. Johnson's class. They started off with gingerbread houses and then received their homemade gifts from Shelley. The girls received Waldorf dolls and the boys were made knight costumes with sword and shield. Yes, they are sword fighting! The girls were given a Waldorf dollhouse from Mr. Johnson! They were so excited!

Student Council is just like Santa's Workshop right now as their ornament/mug project comes to a close. They are working so hard! Thanks to Ms. Ezell and Ms. Schluterman for helping the students.

We love to hear Bible stories! Today's story is about the birth of our savior Jesus.
Reminder-
Tomorrow is Christmas Sweater Day
We are going a full day of school on Friday the 20th.

What a fun and busy week in Mrs. Snyder's class. Learning games make the day more fun and helps students to retain more information. They ended the week by delivering their cookies that they made from scratch in the school kitchen to a few area businesses and people they wanted to thank. They included handwritten cards to their holiday treat boxes. Developing the whole child!

See you there!
